Rumors still swirl over Lambert – Shelton divorce
July 25, 2016
Despite being divorced for over a year, rumors still run rampant for country music stars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. The power couple called it quits in July 2015 after four years of marriage. Although neither of them has publicly commented on the reason for their split, speculations of infidelity continue to plague them both. The latest gossip targets Lambert as the accused cheater, citing alcohol as a factor. She reportedly takes full responsibility for the demise of their marriage.
Following their divorce, Lambert retreated from the spotlight to a much quieter life while Shelton began another high-profile relationship. Shelton, star of NBC’s The Voice, announced his impending divorce to his co-stars Pharell Williams, Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani shortly before the news became public. Unbeknownst to Shelton, Stefani had recently split with her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. Stefani and Rossdale have three children together, and Stefani was reportedly blindsided by the demise of her marriage. The two friends bonded over their failed marriages, and a relationship began. Although Blake and Gwen didn’t confirm that they were a couple until months later, rumors started almost immediately.
Lambert quietly began dating musician Anderson East late in 2015. Although she has remained mum on the details of their relationship, sources say that the couple seems very serious and plans to move in together soon. While Shelton and Stefani have publicly shared their relationship with fans, Lambert has chosen to keep her romance with East out of the spotlight. She has shared very few photos of East and herself on Instagram while Shelton and Stefani relish the spotlight.
Miranda Lambert has embarked on a tour through the fall of 2016. She continues to work on new material and many of her songs reflect her past experiences. Fans eagerly anticipated the upcoming release of her new single on July 18, 2016, which is rumored to be about her divorce from Shelton.
